Mr. Doug Greene began his utility construction career as a laborer with Benton-Georgia in 1971. He continued to gain knowledge in the underground utility construction industry and worked his way up from laborer to superintendent. Along with many years of construction in steel transmission and distribution pipelines, Doug has also completed numerous safety courses including those of OSHA, NUCA, Hazardous Materials, Competent Person, National Welding Inspector, OQ Evaluator, just to name a few. With these courses and Doug’s meticulous attention towards safety made him a great choice for fulfilling Benton’s role of Vice-President of Compliance and Safety, also including Fleet Purchasing, which is a role he held prior to his current position. Doug oversees all aspects of operations including but not limited to estimating, construction & safety for various types of projects which vary in contract value and scope.
Mr. Greene has earned great respect in the industry and is a mentor for those that come under him.
Doug’s personal interests include being a volunteer firefighter and first responder including underwater recovery, and has done so since 1976. He is also a pilot and loves to fly when time allows.
